What is the difference between the CELTA course modalities?
  • 100% online – asynchronous Input + TP synchronous
  • asynchronous blended – asynchronous Input + TP face to face
  • 100% online synchronous
  • Face-to-face.

 1. The 100% online course – asynchronous input + synchronous TP.

It is given as a combination of asynchronous online trainer led instruction of the theory of the course while the practical part is conducted online in real time.

Only the practical is carried out in real time via Zoom, once a week in the extensive format or over 2 weeks, Monday to Friday, in the intensive one.

The asynchronous theoretical part is conducted online on Cambridge’s learning platform, where you are at liberty to organise your own study time. The coursework is overseen by one of our experienced tutors. During the course you will have tutorials and live meetings to provide you with support and guidance.

    2. The asynchronous blended – asynchronous input + Presential TP.

It is given as a combination of asynchronous online delivery of the theory of the course while the practical part is conducted face-to-face.

Only the practical part is carried out intensively, face-to-face, over 2 weeks, Monday to Friday.

The asynchronous theoretical part is conducted online on Cambridge’s learning platform, where you are at liberty to organise your own study time. The coursework is overseen by one of our experienced tutors. During the course you will have tutorials and live meetings to provide you with support and guidance.

Both on the 100% online and the blended courses will you be teaching groups of real adult students. After the class you will receive feedback on your teaching. This is carried out in a relaxed and friendly manner and usually leads to amazing insights about the learning teaching process.

      3. The 100% online synchronous.

Both the theoretical and the practical parts are given online in real time via Zoom

You will attend dynamic, training sessions online in real time on Zoom, led by our team of experienced CELTA tutors.

The teaching practice will take place in Zoom classrooms for groups of real adult students. After the class you will receive feedback on your teaching. This is carried out in a relaxed and friendly manner and usually leads to amazing insights about the learning teaching process.

        4. The presential face-to-face CELTA:

Both teaching practice and input are given face-to-face at our centre in Sao Paulo with the same content as the other course formats.

The 100% online synchronous and  face-to-face is given both as part-time and full-time courses.
